There are many reasons why we chose the
Fairgrounds as the location for the event.
The photos at right and below are some of
those reasons.
These first pictures are of one of the ladies
restrooms at the Fairgrounds. They will be
monitored and attended by a full time staff.
Additionally, as you scroll down this page
you will see a new 11,000 square foot event
center that will serve as the hub of the
activities. Fully air conditioned, it will serve
as our cafeteria and awards banquet
location.
The menu scheduled will be pulled pork,
ham and turkey subs, & hot dogs. Coffee,
sodas, water, chips, candies, ice cream, et.
will also be available. Breakfast muffins,
orange juice/milk/coffee will be available in
the a.m.
There will be a Friday night reception at the
fairgrounds on August 10 from 6-8
pm...maybe longer. It will be a casual
gathering with food, music, and ice cream
sundaes! Also, we'll be giving away some
nice prizes to registered vehicles during this
time. The public is invited and there is no
entrance fee.
Full registration & pre-registration will be
set up Friday evening. You can also
register on Saturday.
All vehicles will be displayed in a dust free
environment either on lawn, asphalt, or
possibly inside. The fairgrounds location on
Lake Michigan is ideal because of the mild
lake breezes always present. This makes
for a comfortable day in any temperature.
Petoskey is a professionally judged show.
We have 12 qualified paint and body
experts as judges. All judging is based on
overall quality of workmanship, fit and finish,
engine detail, paint quality, and interior
condition. Absolute stock authenticity is not
a factor as it is impossible to know
differences from year to year and
throughout manufacturers. It is not
necessary to have your vehicle judged, but
entrance fees remain the same. All
registered vehicles are eligible for all
giveaways.
Public admission is $3 on August 11, and
children under 10 are free. There are no
per-person admission fees for those
arriving in a registered show vehicle. Show
vehicle registration will be $30 at the gate.
