Central Lake Car, Truck, &
Bike Show
2011 Feature Vehicle:   1932 Hupmobile Eight Comet Indy 500 Race Car.
Driver:  Russell Snowberger, 4th Ranked American Racing Driver in 1931.
This car placed 5th in the 1932 Indy 500.  Car is restored to museum quality and is
owned by Russell's son John of Fraser, Michigan.  Look for this facinating piece of
history in the center of town Saturday, June 11, 2011.
2011 Celebrity Feature Vehicle:  Bob Seger's 1965 Mustang Fastback
Michigan rock legend Bob Seger bought his first new car, this 1965 Mustang, while
on his way to a concert in San Francisco.  It stayed in his collection until 2006 when it
was purchased by David & Kaye Persell of Charlotte, MI, with only
4800 miles on the
odometer!  See this unrestored classic at the head of our June 10 Friday night
cruise, and downtown all day Saturday, June 11.
2011 Special Guest:  Kip Watkins
Kip Watkins founded Watkins Boyz Kustoms with his late
father Don Watkins in 1999.  It didn't take long before they'd
made an international name for themselves with their hot rod
influenced, full custom vintage race bike building style.
Watkins Boyz creations have been the subject of over 20
national bike feature articles in the U.S, Japan, & Europe;
including 8 feature covers.  In 2004, 2005, & 2006 they were
rated as being in the top 25 bike builders in the world at the
prestigious "invitation only"
Artistry in Iron Motorcycle Show
in Las Vegas in the Pro Builder Competition.  Kip recently
finished a full custom flat track bobber for the editor of
American Iron Magazine.  It will be at the show along with
other Watkins Boyz art and dream garage items.  Look for Kip
& the Watkins Boyz display on Motorcycle Row in the center of
town (State Street) all day Saturday, June 11.
